Diction
The most frustrating thing to me about writing is diction. Diction is more advanced word selection. When I write the words come to me but they are elementary, middle school level and I have to constantly go back and switch out my words. Knowing I have this problem throughout the years has happened a lot. I’m just no good at spelling so I guess I don’t know a lot of words and it makes it more difficult to find words. I’ve used presenting and drafting over the years to correct this problem but soon I will have to start learning words. I plan to get some type of app on my phone so I learn a new word every day.

Setting the right Example
Jermaine Unique McNeal is the reason I do the right thing. My son is the only reason I do anything right in life, before him I made a lot of terrible decisions that caused a lot of harm to myself and others. Everyone tried to get me to see reason but I would not listen for any reason. When I found out he was there and I had to bring him into the world and teach him I had to change what I wanted him to know. He was the only reason I changed my life and to this day saved me from myself. I do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do because that is the example I set for my son, what I want him to do as well.

My father deserves spectacular results by Van Jones
Van Jones father died before Barack Obama became president and his dream was to see his father proud. It is sad for a son to bury his father but it’s better than it being the other way around. Jones lives by what his father taught his while he was around and has become successful off of this. Coming from a background in slavery his father was a black principal which just sounds impossible to me in though times but he made it possible for many kids to grow up and have education because of his hard structure. Having a firm father kept what Jones was doing stable enough that he made it working for Obama in the White House after the election even though it wasn’t his dream he believes it will make his father proud but results will make him prouder.
Seeing beyond our differences by Sheri White
Sheri White grew up in times of racism and her parents where Indian and white. Her mother was a dark Indian and her father a pale white man. Though she never noticed that until she was older, it took a huge impact on her life before she was even born. This is a prime example about racism not being born into people but raised to be racist. She did not see anything wrong with her father and her mother but even her grandpa feared for them when they were married in 1996 because of the people in this world. Later she came out to her parents as a lesbian and after beating racism another obstacle in the future. Until this day she still believes that no matter the appearance everybody is the same, and maybe if people though like that life wouldn’t be how it is.
Life is an act of literacy creation by Luis Urrea
In this I believe paper Luis Urrea believes that all ideas and good things for writing comes from the world. Urrea believes that if you listen and pay attention to the world around you that was made of writing you would learn to write. He learned this from an old healer women. The beauty is the eye of the beholder, nature is spiritual itself to those who will listen to its wisdom. This might not be true of everybody but he has tried many methods and this is the one that works for him. He believe that God made the word though a writing and the omens of the world will help him write.

Six Ways to Succeed in College
The six college success secrets are show up for every class,
no cells phones, work harder outside the class room, keeping a good
relationship with your profession, making your classmates, and saying goodbye
to high school. I am repeating college for the second time, I was in a wreck that
caused me to drop out of my sophomore year 2nd semester. On my first
go around I wished I had read that article first. I never came to class, I didn’t
talk to my teachers or the students, and I loved my cell phone and earphones. I
passed but not until the end and because of keeping up with homework and my
professions were very nice, also I’m a great self-learner. This time I will
stay focused and keep things very simple and come to every class. For my return
to school I will not need to be told to do any of these because I have already learned
the hard way.
English 101
In English 101 this semester I would like to become a better
writer. When I was a child I use to love to write but my grammar and skills needed
a lot of work. Through the years I have picked up many more skills and experiences
that will led me to one day write a novel. The skills I need to improve are diction, editing, and grammar. When it comes to writing the words, besides
lack of diction, I am a very creative person, but diction is what adds more to
writing, take it to new levels. Diction is the thing I want to work on the most
because, I feel like the words you choose are where the empathy from the writer
meets the reader.
Introduction
When you introduce someone, you know a lot about this
person, their name, where they live, which college they go to, or how many
family members they have. When introducing yourself, it's whatever you want to
say. A lot of people tell others lies to comfort themselves and refused
judgement, some tell only the things that seems to be going well in their
lives, and others don't say anything. Well I'm Asia and I tell it all. I am a
very open and honest person who does not care much about what I say, or what
you will say back to me about it. I am a single mother of one, and my son
shapes my world present and future. All decisions I make in life are centered
around him and his future. Most of all I am full of surprises, just wait and
see.
