When to Cite

When writing any type of essay you should always cite information you got from somewhere else. If you did not come up with the information yourself it can be cited. It is important to cite because if you do not it is counted as cheating and will result in an F or in more serious cases, jail type and payout. Using someone's else words that they have ownership to is like stealing from a store. You should never use anything some one said without citing it.

MLA Formatting

I've been doing MLA formatting and work cited since freshman year in high school at Columbus High School. Each paper in every class had to be in MLA format or was marked wrong. This is the reason it comes so easy to me after doing it 4 year straight. My only issue is not knowing what to cite. Unless it is a research paper of some kind I do not believe you should have to cite. Who would you be citing, yourself? Also when it comes to MLA format remembering each step and everything that is on the paper is very hard so maybe so type of checklist would be helpful.

College Students

College students often struggle to balance their school work with the demands of everyday life. Everyday you wake up, running to the bathroom, then to the kitchen for coffee. School early this morning seems like a regret, until you are home by 5 in the evening completing  homework and still have at least 30 minutes to take a nap before your night shift. Working night shift is easy until you have to get off and go home and wake up at 6 AM. Life is hard and on Monday through Thursday you work your hardest, but when the weekend comes it's time for fun. Friday and Saturday you work day night and make sure to get off in time to go to the mall, and go out with friends. When it comes to the hard life of college teens, they make their life hard by not prioritizing and making smart decisions.

Life

No one is ever meant to be alone in life. I believe there is someone out there for everybody. During life everyone meets that person they think they will be friends with forever, but most friendships don't make it pass high school. A best friend is hard to come by because every individual has a different life and future, and everybody isn't meant to be apart of that. A lot of the time people will show you that they are not meant to be apart of your life with the flaw things that they do. Some will do little things that you will forgive, others will do things that break your heart. I believe it take times but everybody will find somebody.

Dream Best Friend

Wouldn't it be heavenly to have the perfect best friend. No drama, no lying, no worries of her sleeping with your men, no worries of jealously, or anything. Wouldn't it be ideal to be able to go to one single person that you can tell all your secrets and problems too. A best friend doesn't have to look like you or do things like you. They really just have to be here for you. People think that money, and material things help determine best friends and relationship, but the only person I would feel right calling best friend is someone who was there even when I didn't want them there.

Kindness

 My grandmother is the reason for my kindness. She has been kind to so many people my whole life and she is the reason I think about others. Four years ago my uncle went to prison for something he didn't do. A year later the state of Texas tried to take away rights for his two daughters, Shyla and Hanniah Anderson. There mother had committed suicide and they were put in the foster system by their aunt due to Hanniah's misbehavior. Grandma took them in. So many challenge were faced and I would have turned them back in! They were terrible, disrespectful, and bad mouth. Four years later I am happy to report that these two young ladies are doing extremely well, mentality and psychically. If it had not been for Grandma's kindness they would not be.

Peer Revision

Sydney was my peer revision partner. When we started we did not what to follow the instructions because it sounds corny to read aloud your essay to a stranger. In the end, I was glad we did. Reading the essay out loud helped in many ways. I could hear all my grammar mistakes, and spelling issues. Also I could hear where I needed to add more content or take out things and more others around.Adding to the process more time would allow more editing and time to fix mistakes. More than one person and point of view could also add more to the process and producing a better paper.
